Im Jin-ah, also known as Nana by profession, is a South Korean actress, singer, and model. Nana was born on September 14 in the year 1991 in South Korea. Nana is renowned for her work as a group member of After School, the South Korean girl group and its subgroups, After School Red and Orange Caramel. As an actress, Nana starred in various television dramas such as The Good Wife, in the year 2016, Love Weaves Through a Millennium in the year 2015, Justice in the year 2019, and Kill It in the year 2019.
She completed her graduation from Ochang High School in Cheongju.
Nana was an active participant in the 2009 Asia Pacific Super Model Contest. In the year 2009, Nana, along with Raina debuted in After School, as third-generation members with the release of Because of You, After School’s second EP. In the year 2010, Nana, formed a sub-unit called Orange Caramel, along with After School members Raina and Lizzy. Nana’s first solo song, “Close Your Eyes,” was included in the Orange Caramel’s third single titled “Shanghai Romance,” .
In the year 2011, Nana was part of the After School sub-unit A.S. Red along with After School members Uee, Kahi, and Jungah, releasing the single “In the Night Sky.” In the year 2012, Nana again featured herself for Tokyo Girls Collection, walking the S/S 2012 show. She was also a model for Girls’ Award and Park Yoon-Yoo’s Seoul Fashion Walk S/S, the Japanese fashion show for the year 2012. In December of 2012, Nana joined fellow K-pop stars Hyoseong, Hyolyn, Nicole, and Hyuna to form supergroup Dazzling Red for SBS Gayo Daejun, performing the song “This Person.” In current years, she has acted in Four Men (2017), Justice (2019), and Confession (2020).
