Upon returning, Orla got to play the role of Adele in House of Bernarda Alba by the Gate Theatre production. She also performed as Natasha in Three Sisters with the same production house.
However, Orla’s first breakthrough in her professional life was in Blinded by the Sun at the Royal National Theatre in England. By that time, she was already created her base both in the Irish and British television and theatre industry. She played the role of Sheila Cloney in A Love Divided. This television program received numerous critical appreciations. Therefore, for the series, Orla got Golden Nymph Best Actress Award in 1999.
Orla Brady married an English photographer named, Nick Brandt in December 2002, in Kenya. Since then, Orla and her husband are living in Southern California.
