She signed a three-picture deal with Paramount. In 1951, she appeared in the film, Crosswinds. She played the role of Cleopatra in the film, Serpent of the Nile in 1953. In 1955, she appeared as Duchess in the film, Tennessee’s Partner. In 1959, she appeared in the film, Alias Jesse James. In 1960, she announced as semi-retired. In 1980, she was cast in the comedy, The Nude Bomb. Some of her films are Out of the Past, Cry Danger, Tropic Zone, Yankee Pasha, The Killer Is Loose, The Patsy, Waiting for the Wind, and many others. She also appeared in several TV series such as The Red Skelton Show, Here’s Hollywood, Needles and Pins, The Love Boat, Kung Fu, The Virginian, and so on.

She had gone through five failed marriages. She had a son with her first husband, Tome Lane who she married in 1940 and got divorced in 1942.

She has achieved the Centennial Award, Golden Boot Award, and also she was honored with the Star on the Walk of Fame in 1960.
