The South African-born American actress who gained fame by playing the role of Alison DiLaurentis in the series, Pretty Little Liars and Amanda Strazzulla in the series, Heroes is none other than Sasha Pieterse.
She was born on 17th February in 1996 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. In 2001, she along with her family moved to the United States and grew up in Las Vegas. She was homeschooled and became a graduate at the age of 14.
At the age of 6, she made her acting debut in 2002 in the role of Buffy in the remake of the sitcom Family Affair. She played the role of Millie Rose in the series, Wanted in 2005. In 2009, she appeared as Daphne Steven in the series, Without a Trace. She came to prominence for playing the role of Amanda Strazulla in the series Heroes in 2009. She became famous for playing the role of Alison DiLaurentis in the series Pretty Little Liars to which she was attached from 2010-20017. She appeared as Dawn Hatfield in the series Hawaii Five-0 in 20014. In 2019, she reprised her role as Alison DiLaurentis in the Pretty Little Liars’ spinoff. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. She made her big-screen debut in 2005 with the film, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. She also appeared in several films including G.B.F., Coin Heist, The Air I Breathe, Burning Bodhi, and the others. She also built her career in music as well and released her debut single, This Country is Bad Ass in 2013. That year, she released her other singles including I Can’t Fix You, R.P.M., No, etc. In 2017, she participated in Dancing with the Stars partnered with Gleb Savcjenko and they finished at 10th place.
In 2018, she married her long-term boyfriend, Hudson Sheaffer.
