The movie, Avengers: Endgame had a lot of significant ramifications made to the MCU as we know it, and it had also brought ends to many of the characters’ arcs. In spite of all the events of Endgame, there had been a few things in motion for a few of the characters, regardless of if they had survived or not, and Disney and Marvel are willing to pay a pretty very penny to get these characters back into the game.
SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME AHEAD
Black Widow and Hawkeye’s trip to get the Soul Stone turns grim when only one of the Avengers return. Although Hawkeye had put on a pretty big fight, Widow had sacrificed herself, and the camera had panned over to her body and confirms that she is dead.
Natasha does not return by the end of the movie, and so her character’s arc has been closed. The thing is that there is a Black Widow film now in development, and THR has reported that Marvel is paying Johansson $20 million to reprise the role in the upcoming movie.
The fans cannot wait to see the actress back as Widow. As of now, you can see her in Endgame, and the official description of the movie is:
“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”
