The American film, stage, and television actress Sheryl Lynn Lee was born on 22nd April 1967 in Germany. After surveying acting in college, Sheryl relocated to Seattle, Washington to act in theatre, where she was cast by David Lynch on the 1990 cult TV series Twin Peaks and also in the 1992 film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. She brought up in Boulder, Colorado, spending much of her youth studying dance before knee injuries stopped her hope of becoming a dancer. She began acting in school plays, graduated from Fairview High School, and followed the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California. Sheryl also spent time at the North Carolina School of Arts, the National Conservatory Theater in Denver, and Colorado University before following stage work in Seattle, Washington.

In the year 2016, she appeared in a supporting character as Air in the Netflix production Rebirth. In the year 2019, Lee backed to Theater, playing alongside Judd Nelson in Love Letters.

Lee is an active member of PETA and has assertively campaigned against the fur and mistreatment of animals.

She was at one time wedded to Jesse Diamond, a photographer, and son of singer and songwriter Neil Diamond. Together they have a son. In the year 2014, she disclosed that she had been diagnosed with a rare blood disorder named neutropenia.
