Shizuka Marikawa is a character in the anime series Highschool of The Dead. She has the distinction of being the only adult in the group. She has an extensive medical background. She uses this background to help the group in various circumstances with her medical knowledge. Even after being an adult she is emotionally distraught. She finds it hard to balance herself in such a life and death situation. She tries to chaperone the children and help them in every way possible but fails to hide her worries. She remains constantly wary that she will never get to see her family.
