Did The Trailer For Spider-Man: Far From Home Just Confirm Tony Stark’s Death?

A pretty bog debate is now raging online with all the fans who are debating if Far From Home takes place before or after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Sony’s head had made it pretty clear last year that the movie would start a few minutes after the ending of the film, Avengers 4. This means that it is packed with clues about the fate of a few of the main characters. While it doesn’t does not explain how Peter Parker is alive, it reveals two other characters who have come back to life.

In the US trailer of the movie, the opening scene is pretty different from the International one, and this one shows Spider-Man making a presentation before he goes backstage with Aunt May. Happy Hogan then makes an appearance, and he is holding a huge cheque from the Stark Foundation, and this is signed by Pepper Potts, and NOT Tony Stark.

Why would Pepper sign something that is related to Spider-Man?

Later in both the versions of the trailer, Happy tells Peter: “You’re all alone. Your friends are in trouble. What are you going to do about it?”

This trailer then cuts to a shot of the superhero looking teary-eyed. There is a similar look on the character’s face when he looks at the Spider-Man costume in the closet, and it seems like it bears bad memories.

When the Russos Brothers had been asked if a few of the dead Infinity War superheroes may be resurrected, they had warned it would come at a huge cost. Anthony had said:

“I will say this: There is a real commitment on our end to the stakes. Yes, this is a fantasy world, and yes, remarkable things can happen in a fantasy world, but…”

Joe had said: “They come at an incredibly high cost.”

Can we assume that Tony has paid this price to bring back a few of the lost superheroes?

This new trailer also reveals the return of Nick Fury and so, why is he recruiting Peter and not Tony?

A few of the fans’ comments across both trailers include:

“Tony Stark is dead. That’s why he isn’t here, and Happy is looking out. Also says Peter is dealing hard with a loss.”

“This trailer kinda confirms that Tony Stark/Iron-Man is gonna die in Avengers Endgame since Spider-Man is now being mentored by Nick Fury instead of Tony Stark, who was always Spider-Man’s mentor before & during Avengers Infinity War.”

Avengers Endgame will release on April 26, and Spider-Man Far From Home will release on July 5.
