Superman & Lois to get a show at The CW

With abated breaths we wait for the “Crisis of Infinite Earth” crossover to conclude and give us a sense of finality. We do not know what this conclusion holds for Arrowverse and what the fans should expect. The final two episodes are yet to be released and CW is already set with new developments with Arrowverses’ future. The network is going to pick Superman & Lois, with the Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tullock in the titular roles. The live action series with the iconic couple was announced alongside the reboot of Walker Texas Ranger which stars Jared Padalecki of Supernatural fame.

Nothing is assured about the new series but it is known, that Superman & Lois is going to be a one hell of a mystery story which will be emotional and showcase Superman in a different shade.

“When Todd Helbing, who’s our showrunner, was telling me about the story for the pilot script for Superman & Lois, I got chills,” Tulloch said in an interview earlier this month. “It’s so good, and it’s so something we haven’t seen before with them, so I think it’s going to be great.”

The stars have already played the roles before and audiences can already feel their chemistry. Hoechlin played Man of Steel in Supergirl season 2 premiere and Tulloch was seen as Lois Lane in “Elseworlds” crossover event.

“For us, since Supergirl, I think regardless it was amazing to have Clark and Lois together on our show.” Supergirl EP Robert Rovner told reporters at an “Elseworlds” press screening. “We’ve dreamed of having Lois Lane be on Supergirl. We’ve talked about her since the beginning. That was great. When I first saw them together, what felt like we were kind of entering the canon in a new, fresh way seeing them reunite for the first time in our universe and that was thrilling.”

“It was thrilling really to read their first scenes in Flash, and to kind of feel Lois Lane. It’s amazing.” Rovner continued. “And Bitsie Tulloch is great, embodying kind of everything that is iconic about Lois. And we just love them together.”

Superman & Lois is just one of the two Arrowverse spinoff that is in development for the upcoming season. The other spinoff was Green Arrow & The Canaries that is set to air its pilot later in January.
