Rocky actor, Sylvester Stallone has been a very famous action and adventure film staple since the 1970s, and he is not going to stop anytime now. In the modern age of superhero flicks, it is no surprise that the star wants to get into the action of the top genre.
According to a new report by Deadline, Stallone is set to star in the movie, Samaritan, which has been described as a drama/fantasy/sci-fi and it claims to be “a dark, take on the genre of superheroes.”
There had been a bidding war for the movie and MGM had come out victorious. This script had been written by Bragi F. Schut who had scripted Season of the Witch and also, Escape Room.
MGM will develop this movie film with Stallone and Braden Aftergood of Balboa Productions. Balboa Productions is Stallone’s all-new production company which has six projects in the works as of now.
Other than writing Escape Room, which has grossed more than $115 million, Schut’s next writing projects include Inversion and Big Rig.
Samaritan will not be Stallone’s first time stepping into the world of superheroes. In the year, 2017, he had played the role of Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Stallone had been seen in the movie, Creed II, which had earned him his 3rd Oscar nomination.
Other than Samaritan, all the fans of Stallone have Rambo 5: Last Blood to look forward to.
