MCU Actor, Tom Hiddleston Might Become The Next James Bond

A few new reports have come up regarding the James Bond franchise, and this claims that Daniel Craig may leave the role after his last film, Bond 25. This movie is set to release by February 2020. The very role of the character, James Bond has been connected to many actors like Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, Orlando Bloom and Tom Hardy. Now, it is time for the Loki actor, Tom Hiddleston to enter the limelight.

Hiddleston is a super popular actor, and he is well-known for his role as the character, “Loki: God of Mischief’ in the MCU. The actor is now on the list of actors who can replace Craig as James Bond.

Tom is a very talented actor, and he has done a lot of great works over the past couple of years. The actor has earned the Laurence Oliver Award for Best Newcomer in a Play for his role in Cymbeline, and also, he has been nominated for the same award for his role as Cassio in Othello.

The odds of other actors who have been linked with this role are James Norton and Aidan Turner who have odds of 10-1 and Elba Hardy -5-1.

The franchise is super popular and is one of the greatest franchises in cinematic history.

Henry Cavill has been open about how the role of James Bond:

“I would love to do it, of course; I think Bond would be a really fun role. It’s British; it’s cool. I think that now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge we can do real stunts and really amp it up as well. It would be fun for me to actually take what I’ve learnt on Mission: Impossible and carry it through to a movie like Bond and that if they were to ask I would say ‘yes.’”

Barbara Broccoli has expressed her views on having a woman play Bond:

“Bond is male. He’s a male character. He was written as a male, and I think he’ll probably stay as a male. And that’s fine,” she had said.

“We don’t have to turn male characters into women. Let’s just create more female characters and make the story fit those female characters.”

She had also expressed her views on the controversial debate about this franchise:

“Look at the way the world has changed. And I think Bond has come through and transformed with the times. I’ve tried to do my part, and I think particularly with the Daniel Craig films, they’ve become much more current in terms of the way women are viewed.”
