Wonder Woman came as a refreshing change from the DCEU. The DC/WB superhero universe on the big screen was getting criticized for a lot of things and despite having earned a lot of money on the box office, Batman v Superman was slammed by fans and critics alike. That’s when the gorgeous actress from Israel, Gal Gadot arrived as Wonder Woman, the big screen iteration of the iconic DC Comics lady superhero who has been around for almost eight decades. The film had been rotting in the developmental hell for two decades before it was finally made under Patty Jenkins’ direction. The film was based in the World War I era and fans fell in love with the performances by Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.

Soon after the success of Wonder Woman, a sequel was announced and it is titled Wonder Woman 1984. The film is currently under production, and since a lot of filming has been going on outdoors, there are plenty of behind-the-scenes images available online. However, it is to the credit of the director and the crew that despite all that, hardly anything has been revealed about the movie’s plot. In fact, we don’t even know for sure who all are a part of the cast and portraying which characters.

The only little details that we know about the movie reveal that the next Wonder Woman film is based in the Cold War era of the 1980s, and Wonder Woman will be battling her iconic enemy The Cheetah. Actress Kristen Wiig plays the role of the supervillain. Chris Pine is going to be back as Steve Trevor, and the movie also stars Pedro Pascal in an undisclosed role.
