Yuno Gasai is the main female protagonist of the anime series Future Diary series. She is an extremely adept player. It is because of her expertise that she came second in the Survival Game. She is ruthless, violent as well as selfish all in the name of achieving her goals- the safety of her and Yukiteru.
Her personality change is most probably the result of the domestic life that she has pertained. Her mother was a constant victim of abuse and violence, mixed with her father’s absence gave her a disturbed childhood. These circumstances led to both of their deaths two years before the beginning of the Survival game. Not wanting to feel helpless or lose anyone anymore, she chooses bloody means and ways, kills many Diary Holders and eventually becomes a Yandere.
