The all-new Scooby-Doo reboot movie from Warner Bros. Animation is now in its casting stage, and the whole gang of Mystery Inc. has finally been assembled.
According to Deadline’s report, the Greatest Showman actor, Zac Efron and Mama Mia actress, Amanda Seyfried have been cast to voices Fred and Daphne in the film called, SCOOB.
Seyfried and Efron had joined the announced Will Forte, who will lend his voice for Shaggy, and Gina Rodriguez who will voice of Velma. Frank Welker will come back to voice the Scooby-Doo.
The film has a release date of May 2020, and Tony Cervone is helming the film. This movie will serve as a crossover of the Hanna-Barbera pantheon of characters, and Tracy Morgan will play the role of Captain Caveman. The role of Dick Dastardly has not yet been cast.
The previous silver-screen movies for Mystery Inc had come in the form of two live-action movies written by James Gunn. The films starred Linda Cardellini, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard and Freddie Prinze Jr.
This franchise has also continued with a crossover special with the CW series, Supernatural. Boomerang is now developing an all-new animated series known as Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?
This series has been rumoured to release by this year and is set to feature Sia, Chris Paul, Mark Hamill, and guest stars like Batman, Sherlock Holmes and Urkel of Family Matters.
It looks like this franchise will make a huge comeback in the next one year.
