In the year 2013, she accepted the French Cultural Order at the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. She very recently seemed in the Netflix film The Cloverfield Paradox, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Ziyi was committed to Israeli American venture capitalist Aviv Nevo until the couple detached in 2010. In May 2015 she wedded Chinese rock musician Wang Feng. Together they have one daughter. In the year 2019, Ziyi announced that she is pregnant again.
